If You Want to Study in the US
Educational Advisors will discuss the US system of education, and NIS alumni will share tips on applying to US universities and discuss their past experiences studying in the US.

11:20 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Obtaining a Student Visa
Robert DeJong, Visa Coordinator for the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy Moscow, will explain the procedure to apply for a US visa and will discuss visa restrictions for F-1 and J-1 visas.

12:05 p.m. Ц 13:30 p.m.

US Government Sponsored Educational Programs
Representatives from American Councils for International Education (ACTR/ACCELS), Civic Education Project, Fulbright, the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), Kennan and Soros will discuss their respective fellowship and scholarship programs for NIS students and scholars.

13:35 p.m. - 15:05 p.m.

Studying Business in US Universities
Gary Wishniewsky, MBA Program Coordinator, California State University, Hayward, Matt Symonds, Director, Kaplan in Paris, and Dmitry Shvets, Consultant, McKinsey and Company in Moscow will discuss MBA programs in the US.

15:10 p.m. - 15:55 p.m.

USMLE and Getting into a US Medical Residency Program
Matt Symonds, Kaplan in Paris, will speak about the USMLE, medical residency programs in the US, testing procedures and the application process.

16:00 p.m. Ц 16:55 p.m.

Computer-Based Testing (CBT)
Natalia Chizhikova, ACTR Testing Program Coordinator, will discuss issues related to the CBT examinations.

17:00 p.m. - 17:50 p.m.

LOTTERY DRAWING: Winners will be selected for prizes provided by colleges, universities and other education-related organizations!!!
