The American Center in Moscow is a public library modeled after an American library. It provides library and reference services and hosts cultural and educational programs for up to 300 visitors a day. The Moscow Center is the largest in a network of 25 American Centers and Corners across Russia. (www.amcorners.ru) Patrons of the American Center have attended lectures on topics ranging from the history of racial tolerance to the poetry of rock and roll. Visitors can watch award-winning films, chat with native speakers of English, read Business Week or Architectural Digest and then check out their favorite novel to read at home. Both students and teachers conduct research at the American Center library. Representatives of the press, non-governmental organizations, business, and cultural and educational institutions hold seminars at the American Center and come to the Center for current, accurate information about the United States.

The American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS is a not-for-profit educational, training, and consulting organization specializing in the countries of Eastern Europe, Russia, and Eurasia. American Councils programs include academic exchange, professional training, institution building, research, materials development, technical assistance, and consulting. Founded in 1974 as the American Council of Teachers of Russian (ACTR), the American Councils has worked to advance research, training, and materials development in the fields of Russian and English language; strengthen communication within and between the communities of scholars and educators in language, literature, and area studies in the United States and CIS; and further educational reform through education, training, institution building, and technical assistance.

The American University of Paris aims to provide the finest American undergraduate degree program to students from all national, linguistic, and educational backgrounds. AUPТs philosophy of higher education brings students the unique advantage of an American interdisciplinary liberal arts education, enriched by the universityТs European location. Situated in one of the worldТs great cultural centers, AUP offers its 4-year degree program students, as well as short-term visitors from other colleges, an education based on an understanding of and sensitivity to diverse cultures. The BKC MBA Center specializes in preparation for international English language examinations. The center was founded under the auspices of the association Foreign Language Plus as one of the designated activities of the education provider BKC-International House. In the period 2000 to 2003 more than 1000 students from BKC-ih prepared for international examinations in English. The majority of these received high marks, i.e. 210-215 for TOEFL and 7 Ц 7.5 for IELTS. Education advantages: ? Boston University offers more than 250 academic concentrations in 15 constituent schools and colleges. With more than 2,500 professors from over 50 nations, its faculty is one of the largest and most diverse in the US. Degree programs from the bachelorТs to the doctoral level are available in a wide range of academic disciplines, including business administration, computer sciences, economics, education, engineering, law, liberal arts, mass communication, medicine, music, theater, theology and visual arts. Boston UniversityТs students come from all 50 States and from 135 countries, constituting one of the most diverse student bodies in the US.

Bryn Mawr sustains a culture of innovative inquiry by training extraordinary women in a tradition of rigorous, independent scholarship. The College challenges women of intellect and imagination to use their gifts, and its supportive community fosters the confidence necessary to do it. Bryn Mawr offers the significant advantages of a small liberal-arts college with a low ratio of students to faculty, such as close relationships between professors and students, challenging courses, a supportive and close-knit community, and genuine academic engagement. But the College's graduate programs and relationships with other institutions permit it to offer many benefits usually associated with much larger research universities.

California State University, Hayward, offers graduate studies in business economics, finance, and marketing in Moscow and undergraduate, graduate and English language studies in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Moscow MBA is offered in partnership with the Institute of Business and Economics, and is fully accredited in the United States. Qualified Russian students study a two-year American MBA curriculum taught by Russian and American professors. The Moscow program was established at the Academy of National Economy in 1993 and was the first accredited American MBA in the Russian Federation. Over 560 Russian managers have successfully completed the program, and another 200 are currently enrolled. Kariera Magazine has ranked the Moscow MBA the Number One MBA Program in Russia since 1998. In December 2000 the program was also ranked the Number One MBA Program by an Expert Committee of the Russian Ministry of Education.

Central European University is an internationally recognized graduate research-intensive university in the social sciences and humanities. It seeks to contribute to the development of open societies in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union and other emerging democracies by promoting a system of education in which ideas are creatively, critically, and comparatively examined. CEU serves as an advanced center of research and policy analysis and facilitates academic dialogue, while preparing its graduates to serve as the next generation of leaders and scholars in this region and beyond. Since 2001, CEU has extended its financial aid program worldwide, with a continuing focus on individuals and organizations in the CEE/FSU region and on students in emerging democracies. CEU has an absolute charter from the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York (US) and is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Founded in 1769, Dartmouth is a private, four-year, undergraduate institution with graduate schools of business, engineering and medicine and 16 graduate programs in the arts and sciences. Located in the small, picturesque New England town of Hanover in New Hampshire, it is only a few hours away from New York and Boston. The student body of 4,250 undergraduates represents every state of the U.S. and over 52 nations around the world. Dartmouth's unique blend of university resources with a college's focus on undergraduate education offers small classes and a choice amongst 1,350 courses in 28 departments and 45 standard majors. Dartmouth's graduate programs are small and selective and are designed to provide more flexibility than the traditional masterТs or Ph.D. programs usually allow. EF is the largest educational organization in the world with offices and schools in 40 countries. EF has been specializing in overseas study programs for all ages and needs for nearly 50 years. EF offers short and long-term programs, specialized courses for university preparation with a business focus, University Placement Service, and cultural exchange programs (Cultural Care Au Pair in USA). EF offers an 11-month MBA program at its own HIBS University in Boston - (currently ranked #3 among Massachusetts Business Schools).

Eastern Michigan University is about your success and well-being. Since 1849, EMU has been committed to the highest standards in the classroom, the community and the world. EMU has 24,000 students from around the globe (over 100 countries). EMU is 45 minutes from Detroit. Eastern Washington University is a four-year, public institution located in the northeastern area of Washington State, two hours from the Canadian border. Eastern offers more than 125 degree programs, including business, public administration, and computer science. The English Language Institute at Eastern is a fully accredited (CEA) program designed to accelerate English proficiency. Undergraduate students without a TOEFL score may be conditionally admitted to EWU with the requirement of completing the ELI. Students receive full EWU immigration documents. An MBA Preparation Program and a Graduate Preparation Program are available for those with a 500/173 TOEFL or recommendation from the ELI.

The magazine publishes educational news, analytical articles about choosing a profession and university program, profiles of foreign institutes and schools, hot ratings, and advice on language courses and educational programs around the world. ExpertsТ advice, specialistsТ opinions, and articles about personal experiences of those who have attended foreign schools and universities, make Education Without Borders - STUDY IN a real help in choosing educational programs and a career. The magazine is published in cooperation with the UNESCO Institute of Information Technologies in Education.

With more than 40 years of experience ELS Language Centers offers a variety of English Language programs to meet the individual objectives of every international student. ELS programs include intensive, semi-intensive, TOEFL and Cambridge Prep courses, internships, vacation-study, youth camps, and executive programmes. The Foreign Languages and Studies Abroad full-color magazine is published monthly with 40 pages plus cover and a circulation of 25,000 issues. It is distributed for free at embassies, travel agencies, universities, colleges, libraries, banks and business centers. The magazine usually features the following three topics: information on educational consulting centers and groups; the main article of the issue (i.e. system of education of any country, or a component of a training program); and traveling and studying abroad Ц personal insights.

Established by an Act of Congress in 1946, the Fulbright Program is the oldest and best-known academic exchange program funded by the US government. In Russia our focus is on the arts, humanities, and social sciences. We offer grants to Russian senior scholars to conduct research or teach at leading American universities. We provide grants for Russian university graduates to attend an American university in order to pursue a two-year masterТs degree program or to spend one year taking either non-degree coursework or conducting research for a kandidatskaya dissertation. We also arrange placements for American scholars and students at host universities across the Russian Federation. Fulbright grants are awarded annually through a merit-based, open competition.

Huron University USA in London is an international American university located in central London, England. Accredited in the USA by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, we offer quality four-year US degrees and one-year masterТs programs recognized throughout the world. Currently, we have 320 students from 61 countries and provide a unique international environment. All of our courses have a strong emphasis on experiential learning. The International Fellowships Program (IFP) provides opportunities for advanced study to exceptional individuals who will use this education to become leaders in their respective fields, furthering development in their own countries and greater economic and social justice worldwide. To ensure that Fellows are drawn from diverse backgrounds, IFP actively seeks candidates from social groups and communities that lack systematic access to higher education. Fellows are chosen on the basis of their leadership potential and commitment to community or national service, as well as for academic excellence. Fellows may enroll in masterТs or doctoral programs and may pursue any academic discipline or field of study that is consistent with the interests and goals of the Ford Foundation.

IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board) is the premier US nonprofit organization specializing in higher education, independent media, Internet development, and civil society programs in the United States, Europe, Eurasia, the Near East, and Asia. For the 2003-2004 academic year, IREX is administering three US government-sponsored exchange programs for Russian citizens. The Freedom Support Act Undergraduate Program provides students with the opportunity to spend one year studying at a US college or university. For young people interested in public service and the noncommercial sector, IREX administers the Russian Young Leadership Fellows for Public Service Program. Finally, the Contemporary Issues Fellowship Program is designed for working professionals to conduct practical research on social/political topics.

Pericles is a non-profit organization founded in1996 with a mandate to help graduate students achieve a Western standard of professional education in business and law. Our programs include the first and only American LL.M. (Master of Laws) program in Russia; preparation for the GMAT, GRE, and TOEFL examinations; legal skills courses; and business English. We have also sent over 60 students on scholarships to study law in Western Europe through the University of San Diego Law SchoolТs summer program. Pericles programs are taught entirely in English and use only Western textbooks and materials. Courses are taught by highly-qualified Western professors with extensive knowledge and experience in their respective fields.

Richmond, The American International University in London has a community made up of students from over 100 countries. Richmond distinguishes itself by offering an American education in a British setting. SNHU is an institution that preserves the atmosphere of a small college, yet possesses the prestige of a university. The university awards associate, bachelorТs, masterТs and doctoral degrees and offers programs in business, education, the liberal arts, the culinary and hospitality fields and community economic development. Our Internet-Based Distance Education Program offers courses online for students who cannot be present on our campus. Southern Utah University, founded in 1897, is a fully accredited state university of 6,000 students. President George Bush, astronaut Neil Armstrong and cardiosurgeon Michael DeBakey hold Honorary Doctorate Degrees from SUU. After numerous requests from our readers we have started publishing a series of articles about education abroad, information about higher educational institutions, foreign language courses, student exchange programs, etc. The magazine, which usually runs 100-150 pages, is published six times a year with a circulation of 15,000.
