The American Center in Moscow is a public library modeled after an American library. It provides library and reference services and hosts cultural and educational programs for up to 300 visitors a day. The Moscow Center is the largest in a network of 25 American Centers and Corners (www.amcorners.ru) across Russia. Patrons of the American Center have attended lectures on topics ranging from the history of racial tolerance to the poetry of rock and roll. Visitors can watch award-winning films, chat with native speakers of English, read Business Week or Architectural Digest and then check out their favorite novel to read at home. Both students and teachers conduct research at the American Center library. Representatives of the press, non-governmental organizations, business, and cultural and educational institutions hold seminars at the American Center and come to the Center for current, accurate information about the United States.

The American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS is a not-for-profit educational, training, and consulting organization specializing in the countries of Eastern Europe, Russia, and Eurasia. American Councils programs include academic exchange, professional training, institution building, research, materials development, technical assistance, and consulting. Founded in 1974 as the American Council of Teachers of Russian (ACTR), the American Councils has worked to advance research, training, and materials development in the fields of Russian and English language; strengthen communication within and between the communities of scholars and educators in language, literature, and area studies in the United States and CIS; and further educational reform through education, training, institution building, and technical assistance.

The American University in Bulgaria (AUBG), based in Blagoevgrad and Sofia, is an American-style, liberal arts educational institution in the heart of new Europe. The American University of Paris, founded in 1962 on the American model of higher education, provides undergraduate degrees in the liberal arts and sciences in fourteen different majors. AUP is an urban institution located in the seventh arrondissement of Paris, near the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. 80% of full-time faculty members hold a doctoral degree from the world's most distinguished graduate schools. Beginning September 2004, the university will offer its first Master's degree, a French/English bilingual Master's degree in International Affairs, Conflict Resolution, and International Solidarity. In Fall 2005, the university will launch Paris' first professional Master of Finance degree. AUP is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

An undergradate business speciality school with 5 campuses in New York City and the metropolitan New York and New Jersey area, is 70 years old and fully accredited. It offers only courses in business, and features a 6 month internship program which all students must complete before graduation. Students are placed in their field by the school. Because it is on the quarter system, students can finish a 4 year degree in only 3 years. Berkeley is a private school, and some scholarship assistance is available. On-campus ESL programs help students learn English before beginning their studies. 500 TOEFL, or completion of ESL program, required.

California State University, Hayward, offers graduate studies in Finance, Strategic Management, and Marketing in Moscow and undergraduate, graduate and English language studies in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Moscow MBA is offered in partnership with the Institute of Business and Economics and is fully accredited in the United States. The Moscow program was established at the Academy of National Economy in 1993 and is the first AACSB-accredited American MBA to be offered in the Russian Federation. Over 640 Russian managers have successfully completed the program, and 200 are currently enrolled. The Moscow MBA has been ranked the Number One MBA Program in Russia by Kariera Magazine since 1998. In December 2000 the program was also ranked the Number One MBA Program by an Expert Committee of the Russian Ministry of Education.

Central European University (CEU) was established in 1991 as an institution committed to promoting educational development throughout Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Starting with 2000, CEU expanded its outreach beyond the CEE/fSU region to actively recruit students from other countries experiencing emerging democracies, as well as students from established democracies. CEU is a unitary institution, under a common Board of Trustees and Senate. The language of instruction and communication is English. Continued priority concerning the awarding of financial aid is given to students from countries of the post-communist world and emerging democracies. However, students from all over the world are eligible to apply for financial aid from CEU.

Established by an Act of Congress in 1946, the Fulbright Program is the oldest and best-known academic exchange program funded by the US government. In Russia our focus is on the arts, humanities, and social sciences. We offer grants to Russian senior scholars to conduct research or teach at leading American universities. We provide grants for Russian university graduates to attend an American university in order to: pursue a two-year master's degree program; spend one year taking either non-degree coursework or conducting research in preparation for a kandidatskaya dissertation; or spend one year taking non-degree coursework together with an internship in community/public service or working as a Russian language teaching assistant. We also arrange placements for American scholars and students at host universities across the Russian Federation. Fulbright grants are awarded annually through a merit-based, open competition.

Minnesota State University Moorhead, established in 1887, is a public university dedicated to strong liberal arts and professional programs. MSUM enrolls approximately 7,600 students, nearly one third of whom live on campus. MSUM offers more than 100 majors, emphases and options, which lead to bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees. Campus features include the Planetarium and Science Center telescope, and observatory, art gallery, electronic music lab/recording studio, TV studio, radio station, greenhouse, materials testing and metallurgy lab, and glass blowing studio. The Monterey Institute of International Studies is a small, fully accredited professional school located on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, California. The Institute offers international, practical, language-based training in business (MBA), public administration (MPA), policy studies (MAIPS), environmental policy (MAIEP), commercial diplomacy (MACD), language teaching (MATESOL and MATFL). MIIS offers the only MA in the United States in Russian-English translation and interpretation.
About 40 percent of the Institute's 700 students are from more than fifty countries other than the United States. The Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), founded at the Institute, has grown to become the world's largest non-governmental organization devoted to curbing the spread of weapons of mass destruction.

Since 1996, Pericles ABLE has been Moscow's leader in providing an American legal education in Moscow, as well as providing GMAT, GRE and TOEFL preparation. We operate the first LL.M. (Master of Laws in American Business Law) program in Moscow with a full offering of legal skills courses. Our law students include lawyers from the top law firms in Russia as well as 5th year law students. Randolph-Macon Woman's College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the mountains of Virginia. The college offers strong academics with 28 major programs and emphases; most popular majors being psychology, biology, international studies, and economics. Santa Monica College, a public community college founded in 1929, is home to 30,000 students, including 3,000 who are international. The school offers low tuition, a wide range of majors, an outstanding location near the beach and Los Angeles, with perfect year round weather. Many come to SMC to complete the first two years of university, then transfer to the schools of the prestigious University of California system--UCLA, UC Berkeley, for example. More students transfer to these schools from SMC than from any other school. The campus, occupying 14 hectares, features every facility, including a brand new library, swimming pool, computers and athletic facilities. SMC accepts students with a 450 TOEFL or, without the TOEFL, if they complete the on-campus intensive English program, which is open to non-College students as well.
