EIC / Moscow EIC / Fair / Registration 2002

The Ninth Annual Moscow US Education Fair will be held at the Moscow Aerostar Hotel, Saturday, September 28, 2002. It offers US recruiters the unique opportunity to meet with approximately 2,000 students interested in studying in the United States. The fair is open to the public and admission is free. All participants will receive fair programs free of charge.

Registration
To reserve your table, please complete the attached registration form and return it to IREX or to the Moscow EIC by August 1, 2002, in order to be eligible for the early registration fee of $400. The cost of registration will increase to $500 after August 1, and no registrations will be accepted after September 5, 2002.

The registration fee includes the following:
• Program materials and work space (with table and chairs) for two representatives
• Description of institution/organization in fair program
• The Aerostar's signature buffet lunch
• Description of your institution/organization on the Moscow EIC web page for an entire year
Please note that participating institutions are not allowed to sell any items at the fair. Additional representatives may attend the fair for an extra $30/person.

Fair Location and Schedule
The fair will be held at the Aerostar Hotel in Moscow (37 Leningradsky Prospekt, korpus 9). The Aerostar is located on Moscow's main thoroughfare, which leads from the airport to the Kremlin and is easily accessible by public transportation.
The fair will be open to the public from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.

Publicity
Announcements about the fair will be sent to the local press, by e-mail to all previous and current users of the Moscow EIC, to the network of 25 EICs throughout Russia, and to more than 250 Russian universities and 1,300 high schools. The Moscow EIC averages 2,000 monthly visitors, with the peak period from September to November, when approximately 4,000 visitors come to the center each month.

University Materials
When planning what materials to distribute at the fair, please keep in mind that mail to Russia can be quite slow. You should plan to either bring your materials with you or to send them at least two to three months before the fair.

We have made special arrangements for materials to be sent through the embassy's APO mailing address. Please note that materials sent through regular mail or a delivery service are often held or impounded in Russian customs. The Moscow EIC and IREX are not responsible for materials held in customs.

Please send your materials to:
Natalia Rozanova, EIC Deputy Director
American Embassy, PAS
APO AE 09721

The APO address requires US postage. Please allow 2-3 months for delivery.

Travel and Accommodations
All participants are responsible for making their own travel, visa, and hotel arrangements. IREX has negotiated a special rate for fair participants at the Aerostar Hotel. You may book a room and obtain the necessary visa support by contacting the hotel directly: Alyona Rozanova, Sales Department, Aerostar Hotel, +7 (095) 213-9000, e-mail: alyona@aerostar.ru.

You may also wish to book your airline tickets through IREX Travel at travel@irex.org.
