The 11th Annual Moscow US Education Fair will be held at the Moscow Golden Ring Hotel, Saturday, October 2, 2004. It offers US recruiters the unique opportunity to meet with approximately 1,500 students interested in studying in the United States. The fair is open to the public and admission is free. All participants will receive fair programs, with descriptions and contact information for each participating institution, free of charge.
Registration
To reserve your table, please complete the registration form and return it to IREX or to the Moscow EIC by August 1, 2004, in order to be eligible for the early registration fee of $400. The cost of registration will increase to $500 after August 1, and no registrations will be accepted after September 5, 2004.
The registration fee includes the following:
• Program materials and work space with a table and chairs for two representatives. Additional representatives may attend the fair for an extra $30/person. (Wall space for hanging materials will be provided to the first 10 institutions that register.)
• Description of institution/organization in the fair brochure.
• The Golden Ring's signature lunch
• Description of your institution/organization on the Moscow EIC web page for an entire year.
• A special lecture on the structure of the Russian education system offered in the morning before the event.
Please note that participating institutions are not allowed to sell any items at the fair.
Fair Location and Schedule
The fair will be held at the GOlden Ring Hotel in Moscow (5 Smolenskaya ulitsa). The Golden Ring is located in the center of the city, near Arbat.
The fair will be open to the public from 13:00 noon to 6:00 pm.
Publicity
Announcements about the fair will be sent to the local press, by e-mail to all previous and current users of the Moscow EIC, to the network of 25 EICs throughout Russia, and to more than 250 Russian universities and 1,300 high schools. The Moscow EIC averages 2,000 monthly visitors, with the peak period from September to November, when approximately 4,000 visitors come to the center each month.
University Materials
When planning what materials to distribute at the fair, please keep in mind that mail to Russia can be quite slow. You should plan to either bring your materials with you or to send them at least two to three months before the fair.
We have made special arrangements for materials to be sent through the embassy's APO mailing address. Please note that materials sent through regular mail or a delivery service are often held or impounded in Russian customs. The Moscow EIC and IREX are not responsible for materials held in customs.

Interpreter/Escort
The Moscow EIC is happy to provide you with the assistance of an interpreter during the Fair and during your free time. The cost for this service is $30 per day.
